"The Proposal"



The initals are F and D. The 'F' being the female figure and 'D', the male on bended knee.
I've tried to incorporate interweaving celtic pattern to join the two figures.
I believe that in celtic weddings a ribbon is tied around the couples hands, and I've shown this using elongated lines from both figures.
The proposal taking place in the moonlight making it more 'romantic'.
The idea of the sun, the moon and the stars illustrating that the forthcoming marriage is life long.

A recent commission for the initials R and J using
the Heart Shaped Celtic Design and colours used for the wedding invitations

I particularly like this commission. It's a very modern take on traditional Celtic design.
 In this example the letters J and B are intertwined as are the two figures.
I have deliberately used part of the Celtic Design to pass
through the fingers in both figures to create Wedding Rings.
