FELTING
Felting is a long process. Washing the wool, removing twigs,
moss and other foreign bodies!
Drying it, carding it and then felting takes a considerable amount of time.

The odd shape at the top is deliberate.
I've kept the natural edge of the felting, as opposed to cutting it.
I'm pleased with the final outcome.
The mix of suffolk, cheviot and blackface breeds allows
for a strong thick felt which lends itself well to bags.
I have discovered Needle Felting. This bear is my the first attempt.
I've been advised that it may be addictive and I can understand why.
I can't get my head round the fact that the wool felts simply by sticking a needle into it.
The purse has been felted with home grown sheeps wool.
I have used blanket stitch to hold the design together.
The flower is my second attempt at Needle Felting.
Mixing it with wet felting to create the petal effects. Site Last Updated - 26/02/2010 15:02:15
